Dance and Media In October 2001, Katherine Watson prepared a discussion paper for the Dance Advisory Committee of the Canada Council for the Arts to provide a national and international context for the development of a program of targeted funds to support Dance and Media projects. Interest in developing this program was high and in early January 2002, Katherine convened and led national soundings with producers and creators in dance, film and new media to inform the development of a Dance on Screen funding pilot. Next steps included designing and implementing the program, in collaboration with the Dance and Media Arts sections of the Canada Council.
