The terminus1525 launch was held simultaneously at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa and NewMic (the New Media Innovation Centre) in Vancouver, using high-speed broadband connectivity that allowed us to showcase beatboxers and DJs performing together in real time, with three time zones between them. Oni the Haitian Sensation was the MC, presiding from the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. High-profile guest speakers participated in two locations. The ceremony was fully bilingual, but presented a creative approach to language and speech-making.
